Networks are communities of Kalido users who have something in common, like a school, workplace, sport, religion, or interest. Public networks can be joined by anyone, whereas private networks are by invitation only. Any user can create a private network and manage its membership.

How do networks help me?

There are more people to give you a leg up than you think.

Networks help you find people who share similar backgrounds or interests. For example, if you’re looking for an accountant who went to your university, you can check out the members of your university network to see who fits the bill. Accountants who belong to your university network will automatically rank higher on your matches. You can also check out who belongs to networks you want to join e.g. a company you’re interviewing for, or want to work with.

You can filter networks in your Nearby tab to see which of your colleagues or friends are currently in your area. This means you’ll never miss an opportunity to catch up socially, or schedule a business meeting.

Networks help you stay connected with and informed about your communities, so once you’ve created or joined one, you should invite more people to join. The bigger and more active your networks are, the more you’ll be able to maintain genuine, solid relationships with existing contacts, and create fruitful new relationships with new contacts.
